“Imagination is …the power that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared.” – JK Rowling
Being a therapist allows me to share in human experiences and that is truly an honor. I believe every person has the desire to be deeply understood and the capacity for important change. Life has a way of dealing us out a complicated “hand,” and sometimes we need help navigating this journey.
I am passionate about helping others to learn about themselves, to grow in the areas where they are struggling, and to find their own strength. My approach could be described as honest and kind rolled into one. Getting to know my clients, listening to their stories, watching their bravery, and being a part of their hard work as they grow is the best thing I could imagine.
I love working with all ages but especially teens, young adults, and those who have been traumatized and are curious about how that experience is affecting them still..and are ready to explore healing. I use EMDR as a part of my approach to address healing, an exciting evidenced based technique that has emerged as a best practice.
